Wikileaks is a voluntary organisation which relies on donations to pay for its operations. Over the past few days, two of the main sources of that money have been blocked. On Tuesday, the credit card giants Visa Europe and Mastercard said they would suspend payments to Wikileaks, following a similar move by the online service Paypal on Friday. But the company which receives credit card donations on Wikileaks' behalf is threatening legal action. Datacell, an IT firm based in Iceland, has refused to comply with requests to shut down its donor account. It says those requests were based on "untrue and unverified accusations". It claims that if its credit card facilities are withdrawn permanently, its own business will be in danger - and it will sue the credit card firms for damages, which it says would not be small.

Hong Kong pollution bad for business
On yet another hazy day in Hong Kong, the report "Less Talk, More Action" shows the growing frustration here about air quality. Six hundred randomly selected people were asked for their views on air pollution. One in four said they were seriously considering leaving Hong Kong and finding somewhere healthier. Among them were the majority of postgraduate students polled and 38% of professionals. But it's not just the wealthier contingent who want to leave. Shirley Wong is a 37-year-old saleswoman, living in a small flat in Kowloon. She told me she would love to move into a more rural area and away from the city high-rises.
"Because my boyfriend, he has an allergy, we think definitely if we live in the more remote areas with more trees and plants, his allergy can be cured. But because I have to work in the urban area and I don't have a choice because of the money concern, I can only stay here."
More than 400 professional drivers were also quizzed about air pollution here. They said they feared for their health, even breathing the air inside their vehicles. With continuing pollution problems, Hong Kong has become a far less desirable place to live. The report also showed that while Hong Kong people trust that their government understands there is a problem, they don't trust that government to do anything about it.

Bodies of missing balloonists found
It was on September the 25th that Richard Abruzzo and Carol Davis set off from Bristol, in the west of England, with 19 other balloonists in the 54th Gordon Bennett Gas Balloon race. The aim of the race is to see who can fly the furthest. Five days later the pair, who were highly experienced, radioed the port authorities in the Italian city of Brindisi to say they were in difficulties. They spoke of the balloon falling quickly. Contact was lost soon after. Search crews using ships and aircraft spent a week looking for them. But now, more than two months later, a fishing boat has found their basket with the remains of the couple inside. Documents with them confirmed their identities. The authorities believe their balloon could've been
struck by lightning, and may have hit the water at 80 km an hour.

New stars discovered in the sky
Astronomers have assumed that the composition of all galaxies is the same as our own. But using a new, more powerful instrument on the Keck telescope in Hawaii, researchers have discovered that older galaxies contain twenty times more small dim stars, called ‘red dwarves’, than younger galaxies such as our own. Doctor Marek Kukula of the Royal Greenwich Observatory describes what the view from a planet in an older galaxy might be like.
"When one of these galaxies that we now know contain lots and lots of small red stars, it may well be true that the night sky is dotted with these small, faint red stars glowing like embers and that might produce a very pretty effect."
According to Professor Pieter van Dokkum of Yale University, the discovery also increases the estimate of the number of planets in the universe, and therefore makes it even more likely that there's life somewhere else in the cosmos.
"There's been particular attention recently to these red dwarf stars. In one galaxy there's about a trillion of these stars and there's hundreds of billions of these galaxies. Even if the planet is quite close to the star, you could have liquid water on the planet, because the star is not as bright as the sun and so a planet can be a lot closer and still be kind of balmy, rather than scorching hot."
The discovery that there are many more stars means that our universe is a much brighter, more crowded place than we previously thought.

Wikileaks embarrass US government
So what do the Americans really think about the heads of state and government they have to deal with? Not a lot in some cases and that, let's be honest, is one of the most interesting aspects of the Wikileaks material; the candid, uncensored and often rather colourful descriptions of people like the Libyan Leader, Muammar Gaddafi, or the Italian Prime Minister, Silvio Berlusconi.
Silvio Berlusconi.
All this is hugely embarrassing for the Americans and hugely entertaining for us, but it isn't going to change much. Countries do not break off ties over such things. Indeed there is little in this first batch of cables that will send shock-waves through any of Washington's bilateral relationships with its friends and allies abroad.
What the publication of the cables has done though, is enable us to begin to sketch in some of the detail of stories, like the Gulf rulers' antipathy towards Iran, which was known but never spelt out in such crystal clear terms. The evolution of US policy towards Iran over the past two presidencies now becomes clearer; how the Obama Administration in particular has sought to bring Russia and China on board; and how Israel's relationship with Moscow has also become part of the equation.
However one story in particular, the revelation that the US was trying to get enriched uranium out of Pakistan, also illustrates the potential damage that these sorts of revelations can do. Some things can be done behind the scenes which would be impossible in the full glare of publicity. Secrecy is part of the currency of diplomacy and this huge haemorrhage of information has, temporarily at least, devalued an essential element of that currency.

Compare and contrast living at home and in the dormitor
Because of fortunate, I never live in dorm or rent a house outside. I was live in my home since I was born. By doing so, I could saving some money such as to eat in home or without spending money on rent. But I still have not save much money. Although it could be more convenience live with family --father and mother's care is always exist-- but live with other people could be cause some problems for me in the same time. When you stay in your room, someone will disturb you without knocking door. You want to turn music louder but you must think is this time be o.k? I can't judge whether live in dorm will be better or worse, but I think it could be cause another problem. It was really my personal preference that I want live alone.
Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg pledges easier privacy

Facebook has faced increasing criticism from US civil liberties advocates, consumer groups and lawmakers. European Union data protection officials described recent privacy changes as "unacceptable".
Mr Zuckerberg's admission also comes after Facebook said on Friday 21 May that it had changed how it shared data with advertisers on the site.
The Wall Street Journal had highlighted how under certain circumstances Facebook had been sending the user name or ID of the person clicking on an advert to the relevant advertiser.
I believe that it would be many people use community website --Facebook to contact with your friends. By playing some flash games like pet society, happy farm, and so on, you could easily have fun with friends and without any fees. Moreover, it even have a friend's birthday reminder on sidebar, you could easily give wishes to your friends, I thought this could be in the best 5 function standing of Facebook(lol). But there was a big problem revealed recently, it was the privacy policy about Facebook.
When you using Facebook you would found out that there is always some ads on page. But it would be o.k you think, this website live on responser who put ads. Right! But sometimes you link to another pages you will watch some ads display same thing whenever you surf internet. Internet companies have exchanged their user's preferences in order to target marketing. And your personal data was transmitted in the mean time.
